I used Trust Dale for my garage repair and service. I do not have time to have someone come out, charge a high fee and do a sloppy job - and care for my husband who has Stage 4 lung cancer. Your technician discussed the problem, solutions and cost with my husband and me. We chose the most expensive solution for long term problem free results and have been very pleased with our choice. To: Tim, Owner of Precision Garage Door of Atlanta From: Jennifer Lee (Work order#4157903 Invoice O2838413 5/17/2018) Hi Tim, As invited to write a comment per your email, I would like to give Precision Door a chance to correct the pricing mistake on my invoice before I appeal to the credit card company. I called Precision Door to get an estimate for a garage door spring replacement for one of my rental properties in Alpharetta. I received a quote between $70 and $180 (material and labor) before placing the work order. When the technician got there, he said that spring is of a different system that will take longer time to replace, so he will charge us $650 which is almost $500 more than the quote. I refused the work, and immediately he said he can call his manager to reduce the price. Eventually I was charged $300 plus tax for the spring which only took him less than an hour to replace. After he left, my tenant called and said the garage door remote control doesn't work. I had to call Precision Door and asked Sean the manager to call back to re-program it to complete the work. I am writing to request a refund of $120 ($300 minus the maximum of the original quote $180). I felt it was a rip-off. Do you think I will trust your technician to work on my other rental properties again? No unless you adjust the fee and make this business transaction right! Sincerely,

Since the review was written we have responded to the issues brought forth regarding the pricing,etc. and communicated with the customer. It is our understanding that the customer now realizes what the situation was and are pleased with the outcome. For clarification; the original quote was given based on the assumption that it was simply a broken spring only, however when the technician arrived and was able to see the situation in person, it was discovered that it was the entire "spring system", not just an individual spring. We did provide a discount on the parts provided, and the remote control issue was remedied as well. We appreciate your business and value each customer. Thank you for choosing Precision!

Kevin came by, today, to investigate why our old (>20 years) garage door opener was no longer able to pull our door up. As it turns out, there was a part that was stripped that needed to be replaced. Rather than taking advantage and merely suggesting that we replace the entire garage door opener, he quoted us a price for replacing the defective part. I had suspected that the part was stripped before calling Precision, but had already decided that replacing our very old opener was the best course of action. So, I was impressed with Kevin's honesty and the fact that he didn't immediately try to up-sell us on something that we didn't actually need, even though no one would've argued with him that the opener probably needed to be replaced, soon. Kevin replaced the entire opener in a very timely manner (less than 1.5 hours) and took time to explain the safety features and operation of the opener. It was very reasonably priced, and I can't believe how much quieter our garage door opens, now. I highly recommend Tim's team at Precision!

I had a spring break and based off reviews I chose Precision. The tech gave me several options on pricing and although a bit much for all in repair, I chose just to replace the spring and I do feel the tech was extremely professional and knowledgeable and he did a great job.

We were pleasantly surprised with the follow up on our appointment and the timely phone call by Kevin on him arriving in 30 minutes. We had originally planned to have one panel of an old wooden door replaced but Comparing cost of repair and upgrading to new doors with a good R factor we decided to replace both doors. Kevin was very helpful laying out my options and price either way, so we could make an educated decision.

Showed up promptly when I was informed that he would be here. Very nice manner. Explained what had broken in the system and what would be needed to repair and also nice to have repairs. As the whole door and door opener were 13 years old, I chose to have the nice to have repairs done at this time also. Mr. Shelton proceeded to repair and replace the spring and the door parts. Very nice and neat work.
