When Mark arrived he confirmed what I believed the problem was....a broken spring. When I asked him the cost he said $595. Is this the standard price for this service with Precision Door Service? If so, you are $145 higher than the competition. I had already received a quote for $450 (which I believe is too high) and he immediately met their price. This tells me that Precision takes advantage of situations. It's not the way I prefer to do business.

Thank you for posting this review. It is certainly not how I like to do business either. Just as some garage doors cost 5x more than others, so do the functioning parts of a garage door, which greatly contributes to the price difference. We do not deal in replacement parts that are inferior for the sake of making a sale. Precision Door uses parts of much higher quality than competitors. Our springs are high cycle which last 4 times longer than competitors, our cables are 19 strand instead of 7, the bearings are of heavier gauge steel and our drums are commercial quality that have 50% more capacity than most competition. You brought an important point to light for us. Our technician should have taken the time to show you and explain the difference rather than simply meeting a lower price for lesser quality parts. We will concentrate our training efforts to make sure the technicians do a better job of explaining the Precision Difference I am sorry for putting doubt in your mind but you certainly helped us improve an area of our company. When I contacted Precision the lady I spoke with was very helpful in setting up an appointment time that was convenient for me. I received a confirmation e-mail with information about my technician and others that might come instead of the one assigned. I received a phone call about 15 minutes before the technician arrived. Chris, my technician, was friendly and answered all my many questions. He showed me the broken part and explained how it was making the opener not work correctly. He had the parts needed to fix the opener on his truck so there was no down time waiting on parts. Chris gave me advise on keeping the garage door and opener operating smoothly. I will use Precision again for problems I have with my garage door opener.

We have used a prior company and felt we got ripped off.We called Precision and used them three times already.We had Tim, Mark,and Chris three different times for three different service calls. All the techs were very professional. I am plaesed with the services we received, which was done professionaly, along with the quality of the product and waranty given. I couldn't be more pleased with Precision Overhead Garage Doors. I had scheduled 3 appraisals for a new steel garage door for the same morning. Unfortunately, the second company (a bi-county company) quoted me a price I felt was fair and I signed an agreement to purchase a new door from them. The third company who came (I did not have the opportunity to cancel this appointment), was Precision. Precison quoted me $150.oo less than the previous quote. Additionally, they said they would install siding along the opening of the garage door with a flap that would seal the door on the sides and top when the door was closed. I called the bi-county company to advised them of the new quote and they said I COULD NOT cancel my order with them because their form, which I had signed, stated the order could not be canceled. It made me angry that they would lie to me, as I knew consumer law provided a 3-day period during which I could cancel. I went with Precision and they installed my door the next day. The door is beautiful, installation was expertly done (the door opens and closes smoothly and quietly), and both the salesman and Mark, the installer, were open, friendly and professional. Mark left the garage clean and I am delighted with the flaps that seal the door...and all for a $150.00 less than the lowest quote. I would recommend Precision door highly. They even called the next day to ensure I was happy with the door and the installation. How often does this happen? A top company with top personnel!! I am elated I chose Precision!! Thanks, guys!! Well run company. Called at 8am Sunday morning and a csr answered the call and set the appointment for the same day. Tim arrived on time and made quick work of the job. He had everything he needed and was done in under 2 hours. I hate that he had to come out on Sunday but appreciate that I can get to my meetings Monday morning! Working from home was not an option for me this week and precision delivered.
