When I am not working repairing garage doors, I am spending my down time with my fiancée and our four children outside, fishing or four wheeling.

I’ll give 3/5 simply due to immediate response and prompt arrival. I called around 1:30 and someone was at my house by 2:30. I initially called to have someone correct a mistake I made while converting from one-track high-mounted extension spring to a low headroom kit. I ordered a Clopay low headroom mount which included everything necessary to do the conversion (with some DIYing; i.e. drilling new holes in the tracks and drilling out rivets from original track, as well as shortening the original track). It was $250 minimum service, so I wanted to see how far he’d go with my given kit and his expertise. The gentleman arrived very quickly and in 30 minutes or so had corrected a huge mistake I made that put my safety in jeopardy — easily worth $250 minimum charge. He proceeded to tell me the kit I purchased was a gamble, despite what another professional had told me. He later said “it actually could work”, but that was after he fixed my issue and dropped the track 2”. By dropping the track 2”, I now have a gap at the top of the door that will never seal unless I do the conversion kit at this point. He also failed to relocate the locking brackets (which I didn’t mind doing, but the 2” drop relocated them to a position where they aren’t properly mounted and secure — they are both hanging on one screw). The gentleman was very courteous and great at what he did, but after rejecting a couple of personal phone calls on site and finally taking one that lasted a few minutes, I gathered he wasn’t interested in even attempting to install the kit I had purchased. Rather, he instructed me on how to install it. I’m quite a handyman, but after realizing the danger I almost incurred while disassembling the door, I would have rather had a professional do the work while I spent $500-$750 (no idea what the labor would have been). He made it clear that the $250 I spent was the most he was interested in incurring that day, while also saying another day he could install a torsion spring conversion but it would cost $1,200-$1,300, then I would need to spend another $500 minimum to install a wall-mounted opener on my own. All I wanted was someone to help install the kit I was told by another professional would work. I was prepared to spend the money. After asking twice he seemed adamant not to help do said install, so I paid close attention to what he did so I may do it myself. Glad I’m saving more money to do it myself, just upset I didn’t have a technician ready to do it themself. Knowing it was a $250 minimum for 45 minutes of work leads me to believe he took the easy route for higher income per work amount.

Technician, Mr. Allen Morgan was very knowledgeable and professional. Although, he came to replace the remote key pad component. He diagnosed problems( I was not aware of) with the existing torsion spring system which require immediate replacement. So whenever I am ready for this work, I will contact Precision Garage Door Services.

I choose Precision Garage Doors as their website appeared to be the first one when I did a Google search. The appointment was easy to schedule online. I received text messages with the exact time that the technician would arrive. The technician (Allen), arrived earlier than expected and was able to resolve the problem with my garage door opener. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. He installed a new door opener and was completely finished in an hour. I am very pleased with the new opener and the workmanship that Allen demonstrated.

I appreciate Allen 's help, but I feel I was overcharges for his service. I didn't know that I only had to simple pull the emergency release cord upward to re-engage the automatic opener (which is what he did). Therefore, I'm requesting some of my service fee. Allen was great. He patiently explained all issues with our ten year old garage door opener system and he priced out each option, along with explaining the pros and cons of each option and offered a discount for full replacement. He didn't pressure us toward any particular option. We chose to replace the sensors which he quickly and professionally did and tested they worked properly now.

Our garage door would not close without having to stop it when trying to go back up several times. The technician was early, which was good, and quickly saw and solved the problem. He stated that the loose wires should have been connected in a wire connector and covered. He also completed some quick tightening of the chain that he saw was looser than it should have been. Problems addressed within 30 minutes after arriving.

Precision garage door responded to my phone call the Saturday afternoon, and had someone at my house before 10AM Sunday morning to fix the garage door. The technician was great. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a spring failure internal to the torsion bar. He explained the repair options including upgrades, and in less than two hours he was done. Overall I’m satisfied with the service and would recommend them for your garage door repair needs.

Allen was great. My door opener quit working this morning. I called and he was able to come today. He replaced the motor and belt, installed a new keyless entry, and programed my two cars in two different bays. This is the second time I have used Precision and it was great both times. I couldn't be more pleased!!! I contacted Precision because I needed a new garage door...or so I thought! Allen Morgan arrived, took a look and said that my door was fine, it just needed a new spring and motor. I was thrilled! A few hours later Allen finished and my door is SO QUIET!!! He even programmed my door opener in my car. Allen was so courteous and fully explained every step involved in installation of the spring and motor. I would definitely call Precision again.
