Our garage door torsion bar failed, and we thought the door would fall on the car inside. I reviewed various vendors, and the positive reviews of Precision Door, led us there. Just one call led to Scotty coming to our home within hours. He was knowledgeable and respectful. He conducted a thorough inspection, and after reviewing both our doors we chose to replace them after he educated us on our old doors (19 years) and were on the cusp of needing replacement anyway. The tech was on time for the job. I believe that he was being honest about my garage door and his work. However, I was a little disappointed with the cost, but not surprised that it would be more, but not 6x more! Based on the television commercial, I was under the impression that it would be a $29 tune up special. Oh, by the way, why’s William bio isn’t on your website?

At first I thought the pricing was high, because I have had this unit replaced and worked on twice since the replacement two years ago. William took the time to show and explain to me what was wrong not with just the opener unit but also the door itself. So I asked him to fix it all so,I wouldn’t have someone out here every 6 months. Just to note, this is the first time I have called Precision. So William did his thing. Replacing all the old rollers with updated rollers made of better materials, fixed some hinges, lubricated all the rollers, hinges and chain in addition to the new drive unit. I am glad that William told me about the condition and the options to repair. Before my neighbors down the street could hear my door opening. Now I can hardly hear it standing in the garage. It has a soft quiet opening and a soft quiet close. I am very satisfied with what I have now and the price was worth knowing that it is sound and secure and quiet. Robert D. Luttrell
