I read the reviews and was impressed and gave Precision a call. The young lady who answered my call was very friendly and polite, she was able to get me an appointment the day after my call. A young man named Shaun came over, listened to what I thought was not right in the sound of the door going up and down. Found out for the size door I had there should have been two springs instead of one. I had him put in a new motor, two new springs, wireless keypad, and all the extra that needed to be added. He explained everything he was doing and helped me to program the outside pad and the remote in my car. He was a very nice young man and I would very highly recommend Precision Door Service for anyone that is having a problem! He also explained what the cost would be so I could make my decision without any pressure to buy immediately. That was much appreciated!

Ed gave us lots of different options to upgrade but we went with replaced springs only. Our door was in very good shape even though it was about five years old and oversized, 18' wide door, and one of the two springs had broken. Ed was very efficient and did the replacement in less than an hour including clean up. Overall I would recommend Precision for quality materials and workmanship. If you are looking for a cheap overhead door call someone else, but for quality call Precision.

I called you because another garage door company was going to charge me just to come out and not put that fee towards service. I said all I needed repaired was my keypad because it stopped working. I did not have time to deal with it myself. Before the servicemen came he called to let me know he was on his way. Which was great. However he proceeded to ask me what the problem was meaning nothing had been relayed to him and correctly. After he arrived he tells me garage door openers tend to last 10 - 12 years. I felt immediately he was going to try to tell me I needed a new opener. I told him my opener was fine and all I needed was a new keypad for the outside. He starts telling me he cant control the range of how far I could open it from. I never said anything about “range.” No clue what that was about. I already had no trust after the “garage door only lasts 10 - 12 years.” He said he would install new keypad for $69 + $99 to program!!! I was shocked and felt treated like a “dumb blonde.” Seriously? You actually charge people $99 to program a $34 keypad?? And you sleep at night? I called you so I didn’t have to do it. I could have. Your remotes for cars were $60?? I bought 2 at Walmart this afternoon for $30 total and had my 15 year old son program them. I believe you do pay for convenience, of course. Sadly I felt like it was a swindling attempt. If you tell your servicemen to do that then shame on you. I paid $73 for a new keypad that took 10 minutes total (if that) to install and program. $34 on Amazon (free shipping) + $39 for you to come out. Ok. Sure, I’ll pay that. Never again, though. Next time I’ll make time to fix myself. Oh... he also asked if I tried to replace the battery. Like a computer tech asking if I turned my computer off and then back on. The service performed is not in the list provided on this site. So what I chose is incorrect.

Let me first begin with I DON'T OFTEN WRITE OR DO MANY OF THESE UNLESS MOVED TO DO SO!! Second let me extend a thank you to Dustin, George & Paige for making this experience pleasant, issue free and the way business is to be conducted!! For you see, it was Dustin who came back out to recheck and confirm the quote with its correct measurements, equipment needed & necessary to complete the job right (the first time) and correct pricing thus beginning this painless process. Now I must say, this was a simple, all new, single stall, complete garage door system not a complex 3 car stable. Then, as was told, next day Paige called to schedule my timely install. Again due to simplicity I didn't have to wait long, but you understand my point. Lastly comes installation day. Again FLAWLESS. George is the MAN and represents two very important things. 1. DON'T judge a book by its cover!! As a fellow tall, longer bearded and intimidating looking guy, when one takes the time to both put judgement aside and actual pay attention you will see.. 2. he is very nice, a master of his craft, has a methodical process & system by which he works, is efficient and while he himself is quiet, his work speaks volumes and for itself! And his choice in music rocks too. So let me conclude with this. I've waited a week to write this review to have a better overall personal opinion thus far of the new system, its installation, how its held up to the weather as well as its overall performance. I can say as of the date of this post, I am still very pleased with Precision Garage Door, their products and their services. One can only hope this remains true & the relationship continues as such. Thank you Precision
